1957 Chevy Bel Air Restification

The vehicle was purchased by Dale Carlson in July of 2002. The body off restoration began in November of 2002. All the floor panels, trunk floor and all underbody braces were replaced. All the suspension components were replaced, re-bearinged or rebuilt. The transmission was upgraded to a 700R4 with a lock-up converter. PS, power disc brakes, tilt steering and vintage air AC were all added. The wiring harness was upgraded to American Auto Wire. Ceramic coated Dynomax headers and Dynomax mufflers were added as part of the upgrade. The vehicle body and paint was done by Norm Parker.

Engine: 350 small block Chevrolet
Induction: Edelbrock Performer Plus, air gap intake, Performer Series carb.
Exhaust: Dynomax Cyclone, ceramic coated headers, Dynomax mufflers.
Camshaft: Edelbrock Performer Plus.
Transmission: 700R4 lock up converter.
Rear Diff: 3:55 ration Richmond Gears.
Chassis: 1″ front sway bar, power disc brakes, ididit tilt column, power steering.
Gauges by Custom Rod Gauges, Lokar shifter, vintage air AC.
Wiper system converted to Raingear linkage system.
Steering Wheel: Budnik Stiletto.
Wheels: Cragar SS 15×7.
Tires: 235/60R15 Yokohama Avid ST.
Paint: Dupont Spectramaster.
Interior: Glyde Engineering front seat, NOS Reproductions carpet and headliner.
